Music has an amazing power to paint a full picture of where we were, who we were with, what we were doing when it held a place in our lives. I'm old enough now that the catalog of those memories is huge and heavy, each moment scripted to the music that accompanied it.

Great post! thanks!

Isn't it funny how you can hear a song and remember exactly how you felt when you listened to it. I think the sense of smell is the only other sense that is as powerful.

"There must be some misunderstanding" is my sister and my song. We must of heard it 10 times when we were at Disneyland one day and it has stuck with us every since!

There are definitely some songs that bring up fond and not-so-fond memories for me, as well. For instance, Tom Cochrane's version of "Life is a Highway" always make me remember first dating Marcus and the road trips we used to take.

I feel the same way about music, I can pretty much date my life by the songs that were popular when certain major things were going on.
