Unplugging the phone
I just want to unplug the phone and go into hiding! Unfortunately, as answering the phone is the bulk of my job, that’s a no can do. Oh but how I’d like to though. Apparently there was some snafu in payroll, so that’s been a lot of phone calls. The same few people have called the same few people a million and one times. Truck drivers who need directions, but can’t take simple instructions. Makes me want to unplug the phone, head for the outer banks, and not come back until the dust has settled. But I feel like that by the end of the week every week. TGIF!

It’s so funny that you posted about that! It’s kind of a different thing but I decided to turn off my cell phone for a few days so that I could focus on work a little. Sometimes I just need the quiet!

I feel the same way. I try to just let it ring. It is funny how mad people can get at you. It is hard to find isolation and sometimes I would love to have it.
