Library Visit
Thursday, May 3rd, 2007I’ve decided a visit to the library is in order. I have a lot of down time at work where I’m expected to keep myself from going insane. I have a lot of magazine subscriptions so I bring the ones that are appropriate to work with me and read them here. I’ve started bringing along books to read as well. So far this week I’ve read three books by Linda Lael Miller, one by Johanna Lindsay, and I just started Dan Brown’s Angels and Demons. Can you tell I like to read romance novels? Just don’t tell my boss… it might disillusion him about my literary skills as an English major. I do read “classics”- romance novels are just better for light reading that is constantly being interuppted.
When I finish this book, though, probably tomorrow given my amount of time to read, I’ll be just about out of books I haven’t read on my bookshelves at home. While I love to OWN books, I just don’t have the cash flow to keep up with my reading pace. Hence, I will be going to the library. I’m pretty sure I have a fine on my card from the last time I checked out books, but I think it’s under $5. I hope so, because I’m not sure I can afford $5 so I know I can’t afford to pay any more than that! Do libraries charge interest on late fees? If so, I’m in trouble!!
