One of the things that is on my wish list for a house, which is currently a problem in my apartment, is lighting. And Central Air, but that’s not what I’m talking about right now. My apartment has almost no built-in light fixtures in the living room (they’re so close to the door that they are useless in lighting the room), and none at all in the bedroom. My bedroom is currently lit by a desk lamp that’s clipped to my bed. How sad is that? I’m “grown up” and living on my own, and I feel like a college student still!
That’s why, when I get a house, I want it to have lots of built in light… I don’t want to have to add floor and table lamps. Choosing to is another thing… They don’t have to be anything fancy like sea gull lighting, or hinkley light fixtures, although they’re both gorgeous. I’ll take cheap fixtures that are just lightbulbs covered in a glass bulb… the fancy fixtures can always come later. Operating my lights with a switch on the wall… that’s all I want!
