Footprints on the Moon

I’ve really thought about going wireless at home lately. I have a DSL connection, but not a wireless router, so I’m still chained to the desk. I have extra cords of all kinds to fairly easily move from my desk to the loveseat, but it would be more convenient if all I had to do was unplug and move to where ever in the apartment I wanted to be. Especially over this last couple of days, where I’ve been sick and couldn’t really stand to be in the computer chair for very long, but desperately wanted to still be on the computer.

It seems like everyone and their brother has a Linksys router, so they must not be that expensive. How do I know they all have Linksys? Because everytime my computer scans for open wireless connections, almost every time, they come back saying Linksys because noone was original enough to rename their network. For shame. Too bad they are almost all original enough to LOCK their networks. Phooey.
