Well, tomorrow is the big day! Let me tell you, I’m seriously unprepared. I didn’t get as good of a response on donations as I’d hoped, but I’m not going to stress about that. As far as I’m concerned, every dollar I raised is a dollar towards research that they didn’t have before.
BUT… I can’t find my registration envelope. Because I pre-registered for the event, they sent my registration/collection envelope to me, and that includes my waiver that must be signed. Uh yeah.. I have a bad feeling about where that might have ended up. I’m going to spend a good deal of time tonight looking for that.
Also in the category of things I should be looking for is my t-shirt. The company I’m working at deals with the diabetes care industry, so they’ll have a team at the walk and they all have a special team shirts. My mom is walking with me, so I was going to see about getting a Team Tshirt for her. Except I can’t find mine… not much point in getting her one if I won’t be wearing one! I’ve got the walk shirt that the ADA sent, but I don’t want to step on any toes by being at the walk, but not being a part of the team, you know? So we’ll see what happens there!
I’m looking forward to the walk though, it’s supposed to be nice out, and we’re going to have Killian with us. Hopefully I’ll have some pictures to share, but I’m not sure I want to be bothered with carrying the camera.
