Diabetes Walk
October 6, 2007 on 8:51 pm | In Footprints, Health and Wellness | 2 CommentsToday was the day! The diabetes walk took place this morning, and I’m still recovering! It started out as a very nice day, but it got hot FAST, and the route we walked was mostly in the direct sun. We were pretty miserable by the end of it, let me tell you! But as you might be able to see in the picture above, there was a very good turn out. There were people further than you can see in the picture, and plenty of people behind me as well.
By the end of the walk, Mom and I were just miserable because it was SO hot. We pushed it through and made it… I’m still feeling a little off though. I developed a headache this morning. It started to go away, but it is currently back with a vengeance. I don’t feel sick necessarily, just not really up for anything. I ran out to Walmart and Meijer a little while ago, and it about did me in. I knew I wasn’t fit for public when I was screaming at people in the car. “It’s a green liiiiiiiiiiiiight!!!!” You get the idea LOL
And of course, I can’t forget…
THANK YOU

If you were planning on donating, and haven’t yet, you still have a chance. You can click the donate button at the top of my right sidebar. I believe they’ll still be accepting donations for another couple of weeks.
