Has it really been since Wednesday that I last wrote over here? It’s not that I had nothing to say… I was even supposed to write about Circuit City coupons about a week ago. Oops! I had every intention of taking and posting a picture yesterday for Self Portrait Sunday, but then it was later in the day before I even took a shower, and I just let the rest of the day get away from me. That’s been the problem all week I think… I have good intentions, but then I just let the day get away. I’ve been preoccupied with other things, and writing over here just seems like work lately. After all the stress of having my blogs deactivated, and trying to get them back, I think I got a little bit burnt out.

So what are your plans for this Memorial Day? I won’t be headed to the cemetery today, but I did stop by last night. I couldn’t sit still, and when I get like that, I drive. Yes, even with the insane gas prices. So I drove by the cemetery… my grandpa died 11 years ago, and I’ve been avoiding the cemetery for the past decade. I decided it was time to go out there.

This morning, I need to leave the house in about an hour. Mom and Harold are taking Killian to the Memorial Day parade this morning, and I think I’m going to tag along with them. Cause I might be 24 years old, but I still like the parade, and it wasn’t very much fun to sit out there by myself last year. Besides, if I know Killian (and I’ve met him once or twice before ;)) an extra pair of hands for wrangling the toddler is never a bad idea!

There’s a family get together scheduled for this afternoon, and I still need to make the requested No Bake Cookies before then. So that’s my plan for today… I hope you get to spend some time with your families, and take some time to remember the men and women who made this possible for you.
