Pet Peeves

A couple weeks ago, I was filling out one of those email surveys (ah, the things you’ll do when you’re bored at work), and one of the questions was “What is your biggest pet peeve?” I think I ended up leaving the question blank. Not because I don’t have pet peeves because I surely do, but because I couldn’t decide which pet peeve was the BIGGEST.

In the last week though, I think I have it figured out — People who insist on using the stall next to you in the bathroom. Now, if there are only two stalls, or if there a lot of people using the restroom, it’s not a big deal. BUT if there are 4 or 5 stalls, and I’m in the one on the end, it will really drive me crazy. Seriously. WHY? If there are 3 or 4 empty stalls that are NOT immediately next to me, why why why must you choose the only stall that IS? Isn’t there an unwritten rule out there for this?

In the last couple of days, I’ve developed a brand new pet peeve. People who set their sprinklers to where they spray water over the sidewalk. I’m trying to do some more walking as my desk job is really starting to get to me, but it’s really annoying to have to choose between dodging traffic or getting wet because somebody just HAS to water the sidewalk along with their front lawn. Yes, it’s August. Yes, it’s hot out. No, I am not so hot that I feel the need to run through the sprinkler on my trip around the block.

What are your pet peeves?

I don’t really think abour the whole bathroom thing (but good point) it drives me crazy though when I am sitting in a movie theater with a hundred open spaces and someone has to sit in my general area. I prefer to be as far away from strangers as I can.

My Pet peeve is probably the same as others who work in retail. Please Please do not try to have a conversation on your cell phone while trying to check out or return items at the service desk. This is rude to all concerned.
