I chose this particular picture and angle because now you can’t see the huge zit on my chin LOL Too bad my smile looks a little fake, but that was true of all the pictures I took today. Apparently I just wasn’t feeling it this afternoon!

I had a pretty good weekend though! Friday night, Erica and I went shopping, Saturday was my cousin Alex’s first birthday party, and then today I went to my friend Amy’s Pampered Chef party and then stopped off at the grocery store for some fresh veggies.

I had my second weigh-in this morning, and lost 2.2 pounds. That makes a total of 7lbs lost in two weeks. Yay!

Happy Sunday! Don’t mind the wet hair, I took this photo not long after I got out of the shower. I hope you have all had a good weekend. Myself, I’ve had a very busy, productive weekend. At least as far as housework goes.

In the last two days, I’ve gone grocery shopping, washed dishes twice, washed 4 loads of laundry, vacuumed the carpets, moved furniture and used the carpet cleaner in both the living room and the bedroom. And I feel tired just reading that over again. With all the furniture shuffling, there was a fair amount of stuff that did not get put back and will probably be disposed of at some point. Still didn’t find my TV remote, wii accessories, or DS games that have gone missing over the last couple of year. Maybe I’ll still find them– right now, my living room looks kind of like I just moved in! But I decided after I put the furniture back in my bedroom, I was DONE working for the weekend. I think I’ve been productive enough for one day!

Now that I’ve spent the rest of my evening watching lottery winners on TLC and I feel the need to buy some lottery tickets, I’m going to go dry my hair and get ready for bed. My bed’s got fresh sheets on it, and I’ve worked my butt off today — I ought to sleep REAL well tonight!

I had a pretty good weekend. Finally got the busted up recliner out of my living room, it is now outdoor décor! I also went to dinner with family and chased my nephew around at the playground yesterday! Today was grocery shopping and cleaning. Yay?

For now, it’s off to bed to get ready for a new week! And to try and distract you from the brevity of this blog post by posting a picture of my nephew at the playground. Too cute

Just a quick post from me since I need to be getting in bed in just a minute here. My alarm goes off in 6 hours for work tomorrow. Something tells me Monday might be a long day! lol If I took this picture tomorrow after work, I’d probably need some wrinkle filler to fill in the bags under my eyes! No complaints though, I’ll take the 4 hours of overtime. Every little bit adds up when you’re trying to pay the bills! Have a good rest of your Sunday everyone, I’m off to bed!

Happy Pi Day! I didn’t have any. Pie, that is. I had a rather productive weekend though. I went grocery shopping and got food for the week plus food for lunches at work. I bought 6 new shirts to wear since a lot of mine are rather ratty looking. And I bought Madelyn’s birthday present since she turns ONE next week!

After I finished spending all my money, I came home and put everything away and then started cleaning. The living room is still rather cluttered, but the rest of my apartment looks nice!

Oh! And back in the realm of spending money… I finally purchased renter’s insurance! Just shy of four years after I started renting this apartment lol I emptied one of my ING accounts to pay for the year in full in order to avoid any fees. THEN I really stopped spending all my money!

Now I’m just trying to get myself in bed. It’s difficult because it’s definitely past my bedtime, but it doesn’t feel like it because it’s “really” only 8pm and not 9pm. I hate Daylight Savings Time. Curse Mitch Daniels, the dip machine, and his switching Indiana onto DST… I rather liked being one of the only holdouts and not having to change my clocks twice a year. This time of year, we used to be on central time, and now we’re on Eastern time year round. It stays light WAAAAY too late in the middle of the summer, we’re too far west to be in this timezone. But I digress. I could whine about DST forever. In the meantime, I’m going to try and go to bed now because the feelings of jetlag will be bad enough tomorrow without me staying up way too late.

I had a pretty crazy week… lots of things changing at work this week, super busy. Then I picked up an extra shift this weekend. Third shift. Man, I am so not used to that anymore! I tried to take a nap yesterday afternoon, but it didn’t work so well. I came home and slept for about 3 hours this morning, but I’ve been up since then.

Laundry kept me busy for a few hours, but now I’m watching Where All the Wild Things Are and dreaming of heated mattress pads. Okay, maybe not, but I am watching the movie, and all I’m trying to do at this point is stay up until a more appropriate bed time! I could totally go to bed right now, but I don’t want to be awake at 3 or 4 in the morning either.

Am I rambling? I feel like I’m rambling. I also feel like there isn’t a coherent thought in my head. Isn’t that the perfect time to blog?! LOL

Today is the last day of February. I feel like I say this alot, but where the heck is the time going?! But at least I’ve got a picture that doesn’t look like it’s for a best acne medicine ad lol

I had a pretty good Sunday. I woke up way too freaking early, as I always seem to do. After spending some time just playing around on the computer, I did some cleaning up around the house. Then I showered and headed over to my Grandma’s house for dinner with Grandma, Mom and Harold. Then we spent some time playing Groups and Runs, and a good time was had by all. It was just nice to hang out and play cards… we used to play games all the time, and we just hadn’t done that in a long time. Cards used to be a huge staple of family gatherings, and growing up Mom and I would just call up Grandma and announce we were coming over.

Anyways, I had a lot of fun, and I’d like to do that more often in the future. And since I know she’ll be reading this– I love you Grandma!

Now, I’m watching the end of the Amazing Race before heading to bed… time to start a new week! Yay?

Are we all enjoying Superbowl Sunday? Watching the game, or just the ads? I’m rooting for the Colts, otherwise I’d be tuning out except for the commercials Actually I’d probably be watching something on the TiVo and looking for the commercials online tomorrow! lol

Anyways, another week gone by between making Self Portrait Posts. It’s not like I haven’t had anything to write about (like did you know that you can buy an electric cigarette now? Seriously? That was something we needed?) I just haven’t had the motivation to come over here and write anything down! I like to write things, share pictures and such while I’m at work, but they blocked all the photosharing sites on the network so I can’t get to flickr or photobucket…. makes it a little difficult to blog!

I had a good weekend, and a fairly productive one at that. Friday night was a Beauty Control party with some friends… a great group that always makes for a good time! I spent most of the rest of my weekend alternating between napping and cleaning! I also made a batch of no-bake cookies because I cleaned out my pantry and had 3 different containers of oatmeal lol

For right now, I need to dry my hair and I’m getting in bed as soon as the game ends!

Not only have we come around to another Sunday already, it’s also the last day of the month. Are you kidding me? One whole month of 2010 is gone already?? Where the heck is it going?

Today’s been a fairly productive day. Right now I’m playing games on Pogo and watching the Duggar family have their 19th kid on TLC. Earlier today though, I cleaned out the fridge and washed the dishes. I took out the trash and did some laundry. I even washed the sheets off my bed! I should have changed the litter boxes and gone to the grocery store but I think I did pretty good.

Especially considering how I basically didn’t sleep last night. Well, I slept, but not enough. I got hit with insomnia last night… haven’t struggled to sleep like that in a long time! I was pretty much still awake and thinking about getting back out of bed at nearly 2am! I guess the good thing is that I’m plenty tired now, and hopefully I’ll be able to sleep with no problem. I’d have to purchase a life insurance policy otherwise… I don’t think I can handle another night of little to no sleep, especially when I have to go to work the next day!

Does anyone else feel like their blog has been added to a free web directory for spammers? They seem to be coming out of the woodwork to leave weird comments lately.

Anyways! Man, Sundays sure do seem to come around quickly these days! Friday takes long enough to get here, but then before I know it, it’s almost time for bed on Sunday night. Something seems seriously unfair about that! I had a pretty good weekend though.

Friday night was a benefit for my cousin Izzy. You may recall that she lost her husband back in November. Friday night was a benefit to raise money to help her and her daughter pay the bills that were left behind. There was a great turnout, and an amazing show of support for her.

Saturday, I spent the day relaxing… I’ve been fighting a pretty nasty cough for the last week, so I was hoping if I could just rest, relax, maybe take a nap, my body would have a chance to heal a little bit. I’m still coughing, but today I had to do at least some cleaning… my apartment was a wreck! Still is, but it’s better than it was. Hopefully the cough will improve soon because I really don’t want (and can’t afford) to go to the doctor and people keep yelling at me because I haven’t gone lol
